Soapnuts are not nuts but the fruits of the Soapnut Tree which grow widely in India. The fruit is nestled in a firm outer shell. When the soapnut fruit ripens if falls from the tree and is then harvested and sun dried without being subjected to any chemical processes, harmful chemicals or artificial ingredients.

How Do they Work?
The soapnut shell contains a natural substance called saponins which, when it absorbs water these saponins are released which circulate as natural surfactants in laundry water, freeing dirt, oil or grime from laundry or other household items.
